North American and New Zealand Institutes for Bioenergetic Analysis
(NANZIBA) is the regional affiliate of the International Institute
for Bioenergetic Analysis (IIBA) representing the collective voice
of local Bioenergetic societies and members at large in North America
and NewZealand."
Certification in Bioenergetics (i.e., CBT status) is offered only
to professionals who are licensed in their respective states to
provide psychological services. CBTs come from a variety of fields
such as psychology, counselling, psychiatry, psychiatric nurses,
and social work. They are differentiated from other therapists by
the five or more additional years of required training in Bioenergetics,
and a requirement for extensive personal therapy to understand their
own conflicts and issues at the levels of mind, body and energy.
To learn more about training programs please contact the specific
institutes with training programs.
